Member Profile Series Part 3

So you're new to BTS? Starting to get into them? The next step is to learn their names! Most people that are new to the world of kpop find it difficult to learn the names of group members because apparently "they look the same!" But have no fear, I shall help you get to know them better and hopefully by the end of this series you'll even have a bias (favorite member)! So let's get started!

Starting with Jimin!

Birth Name: Park Jimin

Nicknames: Park Jiminnie or Chim Chim

Birth date: October 13, 1995

Position: Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer

Height: 175cm

Weight: 60kg

Blood Type: A

Hobbies: Relaxing whenever he gets a chance

Random Facts: He was born in Busan (like Jung Kook).

His favorite foods are pork, beef, duck, chicken, fruits, and kimchi jigae (a Korean stew).

He loves to wear bandannas, but loves wearing New Era branded snapbacks more.

He jokingly hits his fellow members as a way of showing his affection for them.

His role model is Taeyang from Big Bang.

He has a habit of dancing and moving along to the music no matter where he is.

In ten years he wants to be “a cool singer who enjoys the stage still as much as now.”

His ideal type is a cute and small girl who is also nice

He's quite insecure about his cheeks because they are slightly chubby, but, ironically, he has the best abs out of all the members. The fat just goes to his cheeks first, making it extremely hard to get rid of, but fans love Jimin for the way he is. <3

I would show his abs, but then that wouldn't be school-appropriate so watch their debut mv or MAMA performance to see them! ;)

According to Rap Monster, he's "got no jams." This is one of the fandom's favorite inside jokes. Rap Monster said this legendary quote in a Bangtan Bomb of them speaking English. It was a play on words because Rap Monster was saying that Jimin was no fun, and fun in Korean (jaemi) sounds similar to jams. Poor Jimin, when will he find his jams?

Jimin is one of the lead dancers, making up the dance line with Jung Kook and J-hope. He's an amazing dancer and puts in a lot of energy and precision into his movements. As you can probably tell, he enjoys the sexy concept the most. Body rolls 24/7.

He's in charge of the aerial tricks for the group.

He's also the most flexible out of all of the members. Almost as flexible as me!

He's known for liking Jung Kook (not in that way of course). But he does have a slight obsession with the maknae.

Ok, maybe a huge obsession.

Cue the crazy JiKook shippers.

Jimin just recently celebrated his 20th (21st in South Korea) birthday! Fans around the world celebrated his birthday with fan projects and tweets.

Jimin likes to act cool and seductive, but on the inside he's a cute kid that can sometimes be shy. The baby face doesn't lie.

Birth Name: Kim Tae Hyung

Nicknames: TaeTae, Alien (to be explained later), or Blank Tae (because he always has a blank expression)

Birth date: December 30, 1995

Position: Vocalist

Height: 178cm

Weight: 58kg

Blood Type: AB

Hobbies: Searching for music that no one listens to, going on the computer

Random Facts: He was born in Daegu.

He likes collecting big, oversized dolls.

Anything that is unique to him is something that he likes.

He was chosen by all other six members to have the worst sleeping habits because he will kick and scream if he’s sleeping uncomfortably, and will demand his members to get him a glass of water before sleeping (therefore he is labeled as “Diva V” by his members).

He has a habit of biting his nails, opening his mouth subconsciously, touching anything that’s cute, and saying these phrases often: “Mom” and “It hurts!”

His role model is his dad, because he takes good care of his children and gets scolded by his wife a lot.

In ten years he wants to be taking his future children (of which he’ll name them Taekwon and Taegeuk) to the zoo to feed the pigeons shrimp crackers. He also wants to be a cool dad with good fashion sense.

His idea type is someone who becomes more charming each and every day, takes care of only him, loves him for him, and appears sophisticated and chic to the public, but on the inside is soft, warm-hearted, has a lot of aegyo, and will make him hot chocolate.

He's an alien, period. That's all you need to know. Every fan knows about his real origins. He was not actually born on Earth...

Just kidding! He was indeed born in Daegu, South Korea, no worries. However, because of his weird and dorky personality, fans have nicknamed him "the alien of BTS."

It was a punishment for losing a game, I promise. He wouldn't do this on purpose...of course not.

He's also known for his cute rectangular smile. He smiles and laughs all the time, brightening up the mood. However, sometimes he's a little too energetic. It's as if he never tires. He's often bothering the other members during breaks while they're trying to rest, as seen in many Bangtan Bombs.

He has a strange affinity for bubbles.

He's known for looking like a combination of EXO's Baekhyun and B.A.P.'s Daehyun. Thus they are known as the "Eyeliner Family" (because they often wear eyeliner) or the "Hyun Family." Baekhyun is the father and Daehyun is the mother, while V is the adorable son.

Baekhyun and V once took a selca (self-camera, aka what Koreans call selfies) together after MAMA 2014, and it became the most retweeted tweet by a Korean celebrity in 2014, becoming Korea's golden tweet of the year. This just goes to show the immense popularity of EXO and rising stars BTS.

Honestly, all you need to know about V is that he's a complete weirdo. There aren't enough gifs to fully describe his weirdness. V stans all love him for his outgoing personality, but every now and then they get some nice sultry looks and fanservice.
