BTS (방탄소년단) debuted on June 13, 2013 with the title track "No More Dream". The hip hop boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment, is comprised of seven very talented and dorky members. Their name, Bangtan Sonyeondan, which is commonly shortened to BTS, translates to English as "Bulletproof Boy scouts". The majority of their songs relate to teenagers and are based on the experiences of the boys themselves. The title tracks usually talk about pursuing your dreams and doing what you want to do, not what society or your parents tell you to do. They reflect on the intense and highly competitive education system of Korea and the stressful work environments for adults. On July 9, 2013, they announced their official fanclub name: A.R.M.Y. (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth). The fandom is a growing family of enthusiastic fans that get along well with each other and that support these boys with all they they've got.

BTS was a hot topic as soon as they debuted and won several rookie awards, including "New Artist of the Year" awards from the 2013 MelOn Music Awards, 2013 Golden Disc Awards, and 2014 Seoul Music Awards.

Their debut album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, was released on June 12, 2013 while the music video for "No More Dream" was released the next day. They released their first mini-album, O!RUL8,2?, on September 11, 2013, while their lead song, "N.O", was released the day before. Their second mini-album Skool Luv Affair was released on February 12, 2014. Bangtan Boys promoted the album's title track "Boy in Luv", releasing its music video on February 11. BTS released the music video for "Just One Day" on June 6. These first three albums completed their "school trilogy".

On March 20, member Rap Monster released his first mixtape: RM, releasing three music videos for the tracks: "Awakening (각성) ", "Do You", and "Joke (농담)". International fans especially enjoyed his self-composed songs. The group's third EP, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 1 (화양연화 pt.1), was released on April 29, 2015. Their first win since debut was on May 5, 2015 with their title track "I Need U". It was definitely a very...emotional day.

ARMYs worked extremely hard to support these boys by enthusiastically voting on SBS MTV's The Show. They managed to get BTS first place, even beating the legendary kings of kpop, Big Bang. It was a day of celebration and joy. Fans helped the boys achieve their dreams of winning first place on a music show.

They uploaded a Bangtan Bomb of their reactions after their first win. They were stunned and speechless with smiles that ceased to disappear. It was a dream come true for all of us, and we were practically going crazy on the inside. The feels were just too much.
