So you're new to BTS? Starting to get into them? The next step is to learn their names! Most people that are new to the world of kpop find it difficult to learn the names of group members because apparently "they look the same!" But have no fear, I shall help you get to know them better and hopefully by the end of this series you'll even have a bias (favorite member)! So let's get started!

This is Part 2 of the "Member Profile Series." Last time it was Jung Kook.

Random Facts: He was born in Gwangju.

He's a former JYP trainee and was featured in 2AM’s Jo Kwon’s “I’m Da One” promotions.

He claims himself to be in charge of providing hope for the group.

His role models are A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Beenzino and G-Dragon.

In ten years he wants to continue being J-Hope of the then internationally famous world-star group Bangtan. He also wants to be in the army.

He has a weird habit of sleeping with both of his arms raised above his head when laying down.

His ideal type is a girl who loves him for him, is good at cooking, and who thinks a lot about the small things.

Don't be deceived by his concept photos. He may seem calm and cool, with stares that could pierce your soul...

But NO, he's actually a dorky cinnamon roll that provides the "hope" for the group (hence, his name J-hope). He basically livens up the mood and is always happy and smiling. Always full of energy, he never fails to make the other members smile. Fans are always entertained by his antics and weird dances, but we also get embarrassed too haha.

He's extremely passionate about dancing, training for years to become a dancer before he was scouted by Big Hit Entertainment to become a part of BTS. His favorite styles are popping and locking and hip hop.

Killin it.

He uploads videos of him practicing in the studio/free-styling every now and then on Bangtan's official youtube channel "BANGTANTV" or on Twitter. Fans can really see his passion in the way he moves and his facial expressions. Over the past few years, he has also shown great improvement, proving that hard work definitely pays off.

Not only does he enjoy hip hop, he likes dancing to girl group dances too, just like Jung Kook. Honestly, I don't know why male kpop idols enjoy dancing to girl group songs so much. However, it's definitely more entertaining (and embarrassing) for us fans to watch, so I have no problem with it!

J-Hope dancing to Red Velvet's "Ice Cream Cake." His enthusiasm never fails to amaze me. XD

He especially likes Sistar's "Touch My Body." Like he reallyyy likes it. He randomly starts dancing to the chorus any time, any place. You do you J-hope.

As you can see, Hobi is always cheerful and always dancing around, even when the other members judge him. He never loses his energy and keeps everyone entertained.
